Learning Color Correction

Since taking the Job at Van Gogh Again Editions I have tackled the task and art of color correction. When starting, I had the misconception that it would be easy. Good thing for patience. The hardest thing to overcome, are the arguments in my head. Arguing about if what I see is really true. I have on occasion double guessed myself. Over correcting and under correcting seems to be the tendencies of mine. But the longer I work and the more I want to make myself better the quicker and better I become. I hope to one day be the go to guy for color correction.

Thank God for Adobe Photoshop! In my color correction adventures my main navigation tool is Photoshop. Who knew all the crazy tricks like selective color adjustments, exposure, replacement color, and...? Well, more then likely thousands of people knew all those crazy tricks. But I am just learning to use them on a daily basis. I also use my layers and channel mixer to get the image to come out just like the original. I have not cracked the full magic of Photoshop but I plan to know it like the back of my hand!

I enjoy this part of my job at Van Gogh Again Editions and hope to continue down the path of making color correction as one of my many tools I carry in my profession toolbox.
